Hollywood star couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has topped Vanity Fair’s prestigious list of ‘Best Dressed Couple of 2008’. Following Brangelina were Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady on the second spot. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle landed the third spot while French President Nicolas Sarkozy & Carla Bruni-Sarkozy came fourth. "I don't really like it when people go solo," he says. "I'm a natural band person. (Guitarist) Thurston Moore out of Sonic Youth is weird. And yet I was forced to do it. If you want to keep making music and you feel an affinity for singing, writing and playing, you have to do what you do." The album, produced by Bob Rock, includes songs such as Forever May You Run as well as Can't Stop the World, the latter featuring Stefani. "She helped me write that song," Rossdale says. "I hear what she does but I like keeping stuff away (from her) and just throwing it on in the car and saying, 'What?' So this one came up and she wanted to sing on it. And any husband knows you don't step in the way of your wife. I wasn't going to do that."

Singer turned designer Gwen Stefani has been selected as one of 19 designers to interpret the Wizard of Oz’s Dorothy’s iconic red shoes. With a lot of help from Swarovski, Gwen, under her L.A.M.B label will create her own version of the ruby slippers to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Wizard of Oz next year. The event also solidifies Gwen’s status as a bonafide designer, taking part in the project alongside the likes of Alberta Ferretti, Christian Louboutin, Diane von Furstenberg, Giuseppe Zanotti, Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnik, Moschino, Oscar de la Renta, Roger Vivier and more. The designs, will be officially unveiled in Saks Fifth Avenue’s windows and designer shoe salon during an event on 4 September. The shoes will then be displayed at the tents at Bryant Park during New York Fashion Week before making a tour of the US and eventually being auctioned off for charity.

Gavin Rossdale says his wife Gwen Stefani finds pregnancy "tough". Gwen, who already has a two-year-old son Kingston with the rocker, has been feeling very tired as she copes with the demands of expecting her second child. He said: "It was difficult at first. Gwen really wasn't well and it was tough for her. She was just really tired and was suffering, which is kind of sad in a way. I mean, isn't it enough that nature distorts your body and stretches and squashes your organs?" However, Gavin insists Gwen is now coping much better since she has reached her third trimester. Gavin added to New! magazine: "She is really blossoming now and she's in a great space. I'm just trying to be right there for her and trying to help her through it. It's not easy to be pregnant." He also said his wife - a fashion icon and clothes designer as well as a pop star - is set on regaining her pre-pregnancy figure once the baby is born, saying: "She does feel pressure. I mean, she's just so dedicated and she's just amazing with that stuff. It's very hard because everyone's so judged the whole time." Gavin also has another child, 18-year-old model Daisy Lowe, with fashion designer Pearl Lowe - news which only came to light after a paternity test in 2004.

Gwen Stefani paid a visit to her parents house in Orange County on Saturday, June 7. She was there to drop her young son Kingston off for babysitting time with the grandparents, while also stopping in for a change of clothes. After swapping outfits and chatting with her folks, Gwen made her way outside with Kingston being taken for a stroll by his grandfather, Dennis Stefani.

On Tuesday, Wanderlust, the first true solo LP from former Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, hit shelves worldwide. While it does boast an exhilarating cameo from Garbage's Shirley Manson (on the track "The Trouble I'm In"), the album will not feature a duet with No Doubt's Gwen Stefani, Rossdale's pregnant pop-star wife. In fact, it's unlikely such a collaboration will ever materialize on tape, he admitted. That's because for Rossdale, the idea is just too much of a rock-and-roll cliché. He's no Sonny, and Gwen's no Cher. They're too very different artists, and he said they'd like to avoid combining their professional and personal lives. "It's bad enough with the whole intrusive, paparazzi-celebrity-weird-photo life," he said. "I like mystery. The people I care the most about, whether it's in music or films or art or whatever, I don't really need to know anything about them. The less I know about them, the better, because then I can just have my own unfiltered image of them, and whatever they do publically, for me, can just work its magic. When we get burdened by people at Starbucks, it just takes away from that mystery."
